Long-Time County Board Member Won’t Run
A familiar face on the Fond du Lac County Board has filed non-candidacy papers, and won’t seek re-election.
Fond du Lac County Clerk of Courts Lisa Freiberg informed the media Thursday afternoon that Marty Farrell won’t run again for the seat in District 1. It was reported a number of weeks ago that Timothy Bachleitner had filed papers to run against Farrell for the seat.
Farrell is now the fifth current Board Member to file non-candidacy papers, joining Robert Giese, Tom Kitchen, Lisette Aldrich, and Brian Kolstad who already announced they would not seek re-election.
Freiberg also said Brooke Hills, who currently represents District 16, cannot run in the district, due to the redistricting. Her residence is now located in District 4.
It was also noted that no one has filed intention of running in District 22.
Anyone interested in running for that District seat, or any other seat, has until Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. to file the proper paperwork.
