Madison man arrested after high speed pursuit that spanned three counties

A Dane County man is in custody after leading Dodge County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high speed pursuit that spanned three different counties.

Around 8:30 Sunday morning, December 22, 2024, a deputy noticed a vehicle with no plates on south Madison Street in the town of Beaver Dam. As The deputy turned around to investigate further, the driver accelerated in an attempt to elude the officer.

The driver entered US Highway 151 southbound, and accelerated to speeds in excess of 100 mph.

Now into Columbia County, a Columbus officer was able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device near the Dane County line. With the vehicle’s right front tire deflated, the driver came to a stop into Dane County where the 31-year-old was taken into custody.

Isaiah Usher of Madison, was brought to jail and charged with felony fleeing an officer, and operating after revocation. He was also arrested for three outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions.
