Man Accused Of Arson Faces Over 30 Years In Prison

The man accused of setting multiple vegetation fires in and around Fond du Lac County made his initial appearance in court Thursday, May 4, 2023.

Daniel Enright is being charged with five counts of intentionally setting fire to another’s land and two counts of arson of property other than a building.

The first suspicious fire was investigated in March 2020. Eventually, an investigation led officers to Enright in February 2023.

According to the criminal complaint, Enright said he admitted to lighting fires in the area over the last three years to relieve stress, including once after arguing with his fiancée.

If convicted, Enright faces a potential sentence of more than 30 years in prison and tens of thousands of dollars’ worth in fines.
