Man Arrested After Manhunt in Fond du Lac County

Fond du Lac County law enforcement were in an hours long manhunt just to the southeast of the City of Fond du Lac yesterday.

The incident started around 2:20 p.m. when a City of Fond du Lac Police officer started pursuing a vehicle eastbound on 11th street. The vehicle eventually went south on Martin Avenue at a high rate of speed and the city terminated the pursuit. About a minute later, a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted the vehicle south on Highway 175.

After speeds reaching up to 130 mph, the driver made his way to the area of Highway 151 and Highway 45.

After hitting a tire deflation device, the driver got out and ran into a cornfield near the area.

Officers set up a perimeter and used Police K9s and drones to search the area.

After a couple hours, an officer saw the suspect on Reinhardt Road and he briefly ran back into the cornfield.

Officers tightened their perimeter and eventually got the man into custody at 7:45 p.m.
