Man burned in house fire near Chilton

A man sustained serious burns as a result of a house fire in Calumet County yesterday.

Shortly before noon, the Chilton Fire Department responded to the fire at N4463 County Highway BB, and soon after upgraded the call to a MABAS call which brings in mutual aid from surrounding departments.

According to the Chilton Fire Department, an adult male was severely burned in the fire and transported to a Regional Trauma Center by Ascension Calumet Ambulance, then flown to the UW Madison burn Center.

No cause of the fire, or extent of damage was released. In total, 12 fire departments responded to the scene including the Town of Calumet from Fond du lac County.
