Man in custody after stabbing child in chest

A 22-year-old man is in custody after a reported stabbing in Two Rivers Saturday night, March 22, 2025.

Two Rivers Police as well as deputies from the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home in the 1800 block of 21st Street for reports of a girl being stabbed in the chest.

Because the man initially refused to surrender, the SWAT team was called in.

After a brief standoff, the man was taken into custody. He faces charges of recklessly endangering safety, physical abuse of a child, false imprisonment, and bail jumping.

The girl was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
