Man in the US illegally pleads no contest to First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in rural Oakfield

Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney said Tuesday, June 10, 2025, the man charged with First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in rural Oakfield in May of last year, has pleaded no contest to the charge.

Juan Carlos Rocha Mejia, who is in the country illegally, gave the child’s mother, who is also in the country illegally, $272 to have sex with her 12-year-old daughter.

Rocha Mejia then drove the girl out into a rural Oakfield area in a van and attempted to blindfold and restrain her with tape, however she was able to fight away and run to a nearby residence and ask for help.

Elia Antonio, the 12-year-old’s mother, plead guilty to charges of failure to protect a child back on May 12th of this year.

Sentencing for both Rocha Mejia and Antonio is scheduled for August 21.
