Man taken into custody after fighting with Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Tense moments Monday morning, September 29, 2025, after a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle near Fond du Lac.
At 3:09 a.m. a deputy called out with a traffic stop on the I-41 northbound offramp to Johnson Street. Soon after a K9 deputy called out on the scene and ran the dog around the vehicle for an open air sniff which resulted in a positive alert for illicit drugs.
That’s when things took a very quick turn for the worse. The suspect began fighting with deputies on the scene.
During the struggle, officers could be heard requesting emergency assistance over the police radio.
Officers were able to deploy a taser on the suspect and successfully get him detained.
A police history of the man showed several felony bail jumping charges as well as several drug arrests on his record. He was transported to SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital to be checked out and then to the Fond du Lac County jail.
The driver, a 32-year-old Ripon man, was due in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court September 30, for a previous operating while intoxicated charge. In addition to any charges he gets for the fighting with law enforcement last night, the man was also charged with another count of operating while intoxicated.
