Man who shot another man in Winnebago County before pursuit in Fond du Lac County still without Counsel

The man accused of shooting another man in Omro last year and then leading law enforcement in Winnebago and Fond du Lac County in a pursuit in a Uhaul truck, has to have his trial pushed back as he has failed to secure Counsel in his case.

Omah Brown appeared in Winnebago County Court Tuesday, May 27, 2025, for a status hearing and it was noted the public defender’s office has yet to find an attorney to take Brown’s case.

Brown is accused of shooting a man after attempting to use a fake cashiers check to purchase a vehicle in Omro on July 15th of last year. After the shooting, Brown and another woman fled the scene, but were soon seen and pursued by a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper south of I-41. The pursuit ended in the City of Fond du Lac after several tire deflation devices were used on the vehicle and a successful pit maneuver rendered the truck disabled.

Brown is also facing unrelated felonies in Sheboygan and Washington Counties.
