Manure Spill On Kiel Street Took Hours To Clean Up
A messy situation in Kiel yesterday morning, Tuesday, November 29, 2022, had officials scrambling to clean up a stretch of a street in the city.
Shortly before 8 AM a truck hauling manure sprang a leak on County Highway HH just west of the city.
The manure spill covered the entire length of Fremont Street and then turned south on State Highway 67 into Sheboygan County.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources was also notified about the spill.
According to a Facebook post on the Kiel Police Departments account, the cleanup was still ongoing as of 2 PM.
The company responsible for the spill was listed as Tasch’s Custom LLC out of Malone Wisconsin.
The driver apologized for the incident and said anyone needing to file a claim for any damage that may have occurred as a result of the spill should contact the company.
