March Heads Out Like A Lion As Storm System Approaches

March looks to go out like a lion as a large storm system brings a variety of weather to the area including a chance of severe weather not too far from Fond du Lac County.

Forecast models show a prolonged weather event as rain moves in Thursday afternoon well ahead of the storm center which will be back in western Nebraska at the time.

The storm is forecasted to intensify Friday as it makes its way into northern Iowa Friday afternoon bringing severe weather to Iowa and according to the Storm Prediction Center, also into southern Wisconsin.

Colder air wraps around the backside of the storm as it passes our area Saturday morning bringing a chance of snow before the storm passes to our east mid day Saturday.

Models are showing about an inch of total precipitation falling with the storm, with only a trace of it being snowfall.

KFIZ will keep you updated on this storm as it gets closer with any threats of severe weather.
