Mayor Predicts Train Will Run Between Madison And Milwaukee

Madison’s mayor is predicting a Milwaukee-to-Madison passenger train within five years.

Satya Rhodes-Conway tells the Milwaukee Business Journal that money from the new federal infrastructure package could provide the money for a new Amtrak line.

Leaders in Madison and Milwaukee have been working for years to expand Amtrak service in Wisconsin.

In addition to the Milwaukee-to-Madison line, there are plans for a Milwaukee-to-Green Bay line, and a line that will run from Milwaukee to Minneapolis, connecting several Wisconsin communities along the way.
