Mega Millions Lottery Up To $1.55 billion for Tuesday Night Drawing

The Mega Millions Lottery jackpot now sits at just over an estimated 1 and a half billion dollars for tomorrow nights drawing. This grand prize flirts with being the Mega Millions largest jackpot ever, possibly bypassing the current record of 1.53 billion dollars which was won by a single winner in South Carolina on October 23, 2018.

Lottery officials say its tough to know exactly where the jackpot will end up, but the estimate at this time is thought to be $1.55 billion.

In Fridays drawing, there were 5,331,114 winning tickets at all prize levels, except the jackpot. Nine tickets matched the five white balls to win the game’s second-tier prize of $1,000,000. Two of those were worth $2 million each because they included the optional Megaplier play.

If the Mega Millions jackpot does reach the expected 1.55 billion, it would become the 3rd largest jackpot in US history behind a $1.58 billion, Powerball, Jan. 13, 2016 and a $2 billion, Powerball, Nov. 8, of last year.
