Memorials Planned Next Couple Of Days

A couple memorials will be taking place in the next couple days.

Marian University will be holding a memorial mass for Officer Peter Jerving, Officer Joseph Kurer and Honoring all the First Responders on Sunday at the Dorcas Chapel at Marian University at 5 PM.

Officer Jerving was a police officer with the Milwaukee Police Department and was killed in the line of duty earlier this year on February 7th at the age of 37.
Jerving was a former student at Marian University.

Officer Joseph Kurer was also an alumnus from Marian University and a police officer with the City of Fond du Lac Police Department who died from COVID on September 22, 2021, after being infected while on duty.

The memorial mass is open to the public.

The second memorial will be a moment of silence for former Fond du Lac County Executive Allen Buechel, on Monday at 4:15 PM.

Monday will be the one year anniversary of the unexpected death of Buechel who passed away as the result of a heart attack. Buechel was Wisconsin’s longest running County Executive, serving Fond du Lac County for over 46 years.
