Miller, Sheffler Given “Citizen of the Year” Awards at DECLEA Banquet

An employee from the Lomira Piggly Wiggly store was among those honored at the Dodge County Executive Law Enforcement Association awards banquet over the weekend. Kathryn Miller was one of two honored as the “Citizen of the Year:” for her efforts to save a co-workers life. The co-worker had collapsed in the store and did not have a pulse and was not breathing. Miller rushed to perform CPR until emergency personnel arrived. The Lomira Police Departmenton Facebook wrote “While others stood around in shock, Kathryn jumped into action to save the man’s life. Thank you Kathryn for your selfless act.” Miller was nominated by Lomira Police Chief Chris Mireski.
