Milwaukee Man Arrested After High Speed Pursuit In Fond du Lac County

Officers from the Rosendale Police Department and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office were involved in a high speed pursuit yesterday that resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old man from Milwaukee.
Around noon, a Rosendale officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.
The driver of the vehicle didn’t stop and increased their speed.
The officer pursued the suspect vehicle eastbound on Highway 23 from Rosendale towards Fond du Lac.
An officer with the sheriff’s office was able to get in position at 23 and County Y and attempted to use a tire deflation device, but the suspect was able to avoid the device and continued eastbound at a high rate of speed.
A second sheriff’s deputy deployed stop sticks on 23 near Esterbrook Road, just west of the City Of Fond du Lac.
The suspect vehicle struck the stop sticks and three of the vehicle’s tires became deflated.
The man then pulled over and he was taken into custody after a high-risk stop by officers. He was the only person in the vehicle.
Investigation showed the man was out on bond for a Carrying Concealed Weapon charge and Possession of THC and was to not be driving without a valid driver’s license, which he didn’t have.
He was arrested for Operating While Under the Influence, Fleeing/Eluding, Bail Jumping and other traffic related offenses.
There were no injuries in the pursuit, and the deflated tires were the only damage.
