Milwaukee Police / Fire, Fail To See Body On Back Seat Floor Of Vehicle Involved In Crash

Police and fire officials in Milwaukee have no answers as to how the body of a 17 year old was not found deceased on the floor of the back seat of a car until days after it was towed from the scene of a crash.

The stolen Kia involved in a single vehicle crash on Thursday, June 1, 2023 had been towed to the city’s tow lot on west Lincoln Avenue after an ambulance transported the driver, a 16 year old boy, to the hospital, where he was later arrested.

Monday, June 5th, workers at the tow lot discovered the body.

It’s not the first time this has happened. In January of 2022, a car was towed away after a fiery crash near 76th and Green Tree, and hours later, a tow lot attendant found a woman’s body in the back of the car.

In 2018, a 4-year-old girl spent hours in a vehicle taken to the tow lot after her mother was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
