Miss Wisconsin competition underway

The first of two nights of preliminary competition at the 2026 Miss Wisconsin Competition took place Wednesday night, June 17, 2026, with the announcement of preliminary winners in three phases of competition. Miss River City, Jordenne Butler, received preliminary honors in both the Health & Fitness and Evening Gown competitions.

Miss Capital City, Jasmine Peck, won the preliminary Talent competition. Both women received scholarships for these awards.

Butler, 27, is from Onalaska and is a graduate of Viterbo University. Her Community Service Initiative is Building Resilience for Healthy Futures. Butler received a total of $500 in scholarships for her preliminary awards.

Peck, 22, of St. Francis, performed a contemporary dance for her talent taking home a $500 scholarship. Peck is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Community Service Initiative is Healing Hearts Together: Supporting Foster Care.

Tonight’s second night of preliminaries concludes the initial days of competition with another round of preliminary winners to be announced. This Saturday, June 20, the top 11 candidates will be named and will re-compete in all onstage phases of competition – Talent, Evening Gown and Health & Fitness – to determine who will win the title of Miss Wisconsin 2026 and advance to the Miss America Competition in September.

The Miss Wisconsin competition is taking place in New Berlin Wisconsin.

The Fond du Lac area is being represented in the competition by Brisa Hernandez who is Miss Fond du Lac, winning that competition in November of 2025. Before that she was Miss Fond du Lac’s Teen.
