Mobile Health Services Program

Fond du Lac Fire Chief Peter O’Leary says a one-year pilot program using off-duty paramedics to do in-home checks on people for medical and non-medical needs got a modest launch this week. He says if it is successful it will reduce hospital stays and visits. He says the initial feedback from those who were visited was they felt good about the program and so did the paramedics doing the visits. Agnesian HealthCare Foundation is funding the mobile health services program with a $17,400 grant. The County Health Department is also involved in the collaboration.
