Motorcyclist in critical condition after Dodge County crash

A 37-year-old Beaver Dam man suffered life threatening injuries early Sunday morning in a motorcycle crash in Dodge County.

At approximately 1:16 am, deputies from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Owl Road in the town of Calamus for the crash. An individual who lives in the area found the motorcycle and the operator in a field and called 911.

Once deputies arrived, life-saving measures, including CPR for about 8 minutes by Deputy Dylan Ott, were performed to resuscitate the driver in collaboration with Beaver Dam Fire/Paramedics.

The male was transported to Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam by Beaver Dam Paramedics. He was then transported to UW-Health in Madison by medical helicopter with life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor and the crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Assisting the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was the Beaver Dam Fire Department.
