Multiple Crashes In Area Affect Traffic Thursday

Several area crashes kept emergency crews busy yesterday, Thursday, September 28, 2023.
An early morning crash in Outagamie County claimed one life after two cars and a semi collided on County EE and County S north of Appleton. Police say a driver of one of the cars failed to yield to a semi and was struck causing both vehicles to then crash into the second car.
Later yesterday morning a head on collision occurred on Kettle Moraine Drive south east of Kewaskum injuring at least two people. The road was closed for several hours while crews reconstructed the crash.
Around 3:30 PM the Waupun Fire Department and Lifestar EMS responded into Dodge County for a single vehicle crash where a woman was reported to be trapped in a car unconscious. She was extricated from the vehicle using the jaws for life tools.
Just before 3 PM, a crash on Interstate 41 northbound near the Outagamie and Brown County line snarled traffic as thousands of people were headed to the Green Bay Packers game. Traffic quickly backed up all the way to Kaukauna as crews cleaned up the mess.
Just after 3 PM a driver reportedly crashed in the Taco Bell drive through in Ripon. Witnesses said the driver had serious bleeding from the head.
Around 4 PM a pontoon boat fell off a trailer traveling in eastern Fond du Lac County. Officers responded to GGG near Mauthe Lake for the incident that was said to be blocking the entire road. The driver in that crash was cited for failure to properly secure their boat.
