Multiple injuries reported in separate Dodge County crashes only 2 miles apart

Dodge County had a pair of serious crashes Sunday, May 4, 2025, less than two hours apart, and only two miles away from each other.

The first happened at 11:20 AM at the intersection of State Highway 33 at County Highway TW, just east of Horicon.

Units on scene found a southbound vehicle on County Highway TW driven by a 33-year-old female from Sussex, stopped at the intersection at 33 but then pulled out in front of a westbound vehicle driven by a 46-year-old man from Plymouth.

In total, five people were injured in the crash, one seriously. State Highway 33 was closed for about an hour and 45 minutes while crews worked the scene of the crash.

The second crash occurred at 12:55 PM at the intersection of County Highway TW and County Highway S, two miles south of the first crash.

In that crash, A vehicle driven by an 81-year-old man from Hillsboro, WI, was southbound on County TW and stopped at the intersection with CTH S. The driver then pulled into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by a 67-year-old Iron Ridge man. One of these vehicles then struck a northbound vehicle driven by a 56-year-old Iron Ridge man that was stopped at the south side of the intersection.

In total there were 6 people in the three vehicles with 2 receiving serious injuries and 3 recsiving minor injuries.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
