Multiple Serious Crashes Closed 41 Northbound By Appleton Sunday

Multiple crashes were reported on Interstate 41 on the north side of Appleton, Sunday, November 20, 2022 starting with a single vehicle rollover Around 3 PM.

In the slowdown, another serious crash happened in the area of 41 and Ballard. This crash resulted in an ejection of a motorist and fatality. A medical helicopter transported a patient away from this crash.

Several more crashes occurred on both the north and southbound sides of the highway after this, including another serious injury crash involving four vehicles. A 17-year-old female was flown from this crash as well.

Authorities decided to shut down the highway in both directions to avoid more crashes and to allow emergency workers to to safely work the crash scenes.

Both sides of the highway were opened back to traffic at 10 PM.
