Name Released In Washington County Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Washington County authorities have released the name of a pedestrian hit and killed by a vehicle on County Highway D in the Town of Wayne early Sunday morning. Thirty-seven-year-old Jason Scherr of West Bend died at the scene. Deputies arrested the 53-year-old Town of Trenton man who struck him. That driver is facing homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle charges. It was the County’s seventh fatal traffic accident of the year.
