New Business Services Director Approved For FDL School District

Fond du Lac School District Business Services Director Wendy Brockert attended her last school board meeting in the District this week. Brockert was present when the board approved the hiring of her replacement Michael Gerlach who is the current Business Services Director in the Hustisford School District. Fond du Lac Schools Superintendent Jim Sebert says they got some good applicants for the position. He says there were 14 applicants and six interviewed for the job. He says all six were great and could have done the job. Gerlach was given a two-year contract with a base salary of $110,000 a year. He will start in July. Sebert says Gerlach started out as a teacher, but also has a business background, so he will bring a good perspective to the position. Brockert is done at the end of the week. She will be returning to the Lake Mills School District after nearly four years with the Fond du Lac School District.
