New Fond du Lac AD Brings Optimism for the Future

Since Dave Michalkiewicz left his post as Athletic Director to become principal at Fond du Lac High School 4 years ago, stability at the top of the athletic program has been missing. This spring, Kevin Flegner was hired to provide stability and optimism for the future of the program. Flegner has previously been the athletic director for two successful programs in Hartland Arrowhead and, most recently, Oconomowoc in the Classic 8 Conference. He believes in involving the alumni in the program and aims to grow the numbers for each sport. Flegner’s vision emphasizes the importance of a successful coach being a teacher in the school district and being involved with the students on a day-to-day basis.
