New Holstein man arrested for OWI 5th offense in Fond du Lac County

A 56-year-old New Holstein man has been arrested in Fond du Lac County for 5th offense driving while intoxicated.

On Saturday, at about 3:30 PM, the Fond du Lac County Communication Center broadcasted a reckless driving complaint of a black Subaru traveling northbound on Highway 151.

A short time later, a Wisconsin State Trooper located the vehicle and observed the driver having difficulty maintaining his lane.

The trooper conducted a traffic stop and during the initial contact the trooper noticed that the driver, Steven Jaschob, was displaying indicators of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, indicated he was driving while under the influence. Jaschob was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 5th offense.
