New management hopes to revive Oshkosh Arena
A breath of fresh air has been breathed into the troubled Oshkosh Arena yesterday as a judge approved a new management company could take over the establishment after previous management failed to keep things running smooth.
The arena’s owner, Fox Valley Pro Basketball, is in receivership amid financial trouble.
The goal of the new management company, VenuWorks of Iowa, is to bring in more concert acts and entertainment into to the arena.
The arena opened in in December of 2017 and by August of 2019, owner operators Fox Valley Pro Basketball, filed bankruptcy. In April of this year the arena was listed for sale and in May, The main arena tenants, G league basketball team the Wisconsin Herd, are contracted to play at the arena through 2026.
