NFDL/Oakfield Boys Win Flyway CC Title
The North Fond du Lac/Oakfield Boys Cross Country team is Flyway Conference Champions, after taking first place at Thursday’s Flyway Conference meet held at Lomira High School. The North Fond du Lac/Oakfield team scored 47 points to beat out Winnebago Lutheran Academy, which finished second with 55 points.
Diesel Bosin placed 2nd overall in the meet, and was the NFDL/Oakfield team’s top finisher. Sophomore Nate Gindt placed third overall and was the #2 finisher for the team.
St. Lawrence Seminary’s Joaquin Barajas-Orozco was the top individual finisher for the boys’ race, with Laconia senior Mike Lonnee placing fourth and Winnebago Lutheran freshman Bennett Midthun placing fifth.
Omro won the Flyway Conference Girls Cross Country championship at Thursday’s meet. The Foxes totaled 51 points to beat out second place Laconia who finished with 57. Laconia’s Allison Wright was the top individual finisher in the Girls’ race, with Lomira’s Sasha Doyle placing 2nd. Omro’s Olivia Knurowski placed third, WLA’s Abby Cole was fourth and Lauren Stettbacher from North Fond du Lac/Oakfield placed fifth overall in the girls’ race.
