NFDL Street Improvements

The North Fond du Lac Village Board this week approved the preliminary resolutions for special assessments to do improvements on Minnesota Avenue and Indiana Avenue. Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says the section of Minnesota Avenue that will be improved is on the north end of the village going out of town. He says it already has sewer and water, but no storm sewer, curb and gutter or sidewalks. He says it is in dire need of being replaced. He says residents living along the stretch of Indiana Avenue that will be improved were successful in arguing against the need for sidewalks. He says it has a dead end and only a few houses that nobody ever walks down that end of the street. Hornung says the improvements will start in August or September.
