NFDL Will Keep Bulky Waste Curbside Pick Up Program As Is
The Village of North Fond du Lac will continue to provide bulky waste curbside collections every other summer. The Village Board considered eliminating the service and offering the alternative of having residents drop off their bulky waste items at the Village garage instead during those summers. That would have prevented scavengers from picking through the items when they are on the curbs making a mess in the process. Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says the board decided to keep offering the service. Hornung says if they had offered the option of dropping off the items at the Village garage instead it would have only saved the Village about $3,000 to $4,000 those summers they offer the curbside pick up.
