No charges expected in death of Two Rivers child found in river

Authorities in Two Rivers say they have no reason to believe there’s any foul play or anything suspicious in the death of 7-year-old Jacob Baer.

Baer went missing Saturday afternoon and was found deceased Sunday morning in the West Twin River.

A massive search effort was established before he was found that involved local police and fire, The national Guard, Wisconsin DNR and the Coast Guard Ice Search and Rescue Team.

According to police, Jacob lived in the area, and after playing outside, his dad called for him to come in. Instead however, he took off running. When his father couldn’t find him, he called the police.
An autopsy is planned for Friday.
