No Clear Reason For Discrepancy In Positive COVID-19 Numbers

The discrepancy in confirmed COVID-19 case numbers in the county compared to the state DHS site continues, but according to the Fond du Lac County Health Department, they have no idea what’s causing it.

Public Health Officer Kim Mueller tells KFIZ News, in an email exchange, the numbers her department posts on the county COVID-19 dashboard are accurate. As of Tuesday afternoon, the FDL County dashboard showed 11,863 confirmed cases, while the DHS site shows 11,995 cases, for a difference of 133.

Sarah Faust, a Health Educator with the County Health Department, said “we are confident on our end that we have all cases we are aware of accounted for, so no good explanation for the discrepancy on the confirmed cases number in comparison with WI DHS.”
