No parking on Main Street today for St. Patrick’s Day parade

The Fond du Lac St Patrick’s Day Parade is today starting at 3 PM. The parade starts at the corner of Rees and Main St and travels south to Veterans Park. Parade set-up begins at 1:30 pm at the Giddings & Lewis parking lot at the corner of Rees & Macy Streets.

Just prior to the parade will be the Green Mile run/walk which takes place at 2:30 and will cover the same route as the parade.

The Fond du Lac Police want to advise everyone that parking will be restricted on Main Street between Johnson Street and Western Avenue starting at noon. Additionally, traffic restrictions will be in place on S. Macy Street, Western Avenue, and S. Marr Street.

The parade route will be shut down to all traffic starting at 1PM.

Police are also reminding parade attendees and participants that alcoholic beverages are not permitted among participants at any time, from the staging area, along the parade route, and/or in any vehicle or float. Public consumption of alcoholic beverages is also prohibited at any time or under any circumstances along the parade route.
