North Fond du Lac man facing 12 year sentence for drug related death of his sister

A North Fond du Lac man was sentenced to prison yesterday for the drug related death of his sister in 2020.

Christopher Hoerth will spend six years in prison and another six years on extended supervision in the death that took place May 7, of 2020 in the 600 block of Florida Avenue in the Village of North Fond du Lac.

According to a criminal complaint, during the death investigation of the woman, cell phone records indicated texts back and forth between a “Chris H”, hours before the death that would indicate a drug transaction. In addition, an unidentified informant stated that the drugs laced with fentanyl that killed the woman were supplied to her by the defendant.

According to Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney, Hoerth had previous drug related convictions that played into the sentencing for the death.

He was convicted of the death after a five day trial in April of this year.
