North Fond du Lac Man Rams Squad After Stand-Off

The North Fond du Lac Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance around 12:30 PM Saturday, July 15, 2023 in the 1400 block of Minnesota Avenue.

Upon arrival, the male involved had locked the female out of the residence and refused to come out. It was decided to leave the man but watch over the residence for him to leave which he did around 8:20 PM.

At that time, officers conducted a traffic stop on the man near the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Center Streets in the Village of North Fond du Lac.

Again, the man refused to listen to commands and remained in the vehicle. Officers from North Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol as well as the City of Fond du Lac all assisted as the man remained in his vehicle.

North Fond du Lac Officers used their cruisers to block the man in and placed spike strips under his tires to reduce the chance of the man taking off.

After about 20-30 minutes, the man accelerated his vehicle striking the cruiser in front of him, pushing it around 50 feet. At that time officers utilized a broken drivers side window and deployed a taser on the man.

The man was taken into custody on charges of domestic violence, threats to a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, felony bail jumping and knowingly fleeing an officer.

No one was injured in the incident.
