Northeast Wisconsin Dragon Boat Festival coming to Oshkosh

The eagerly awaited Northeast Wisconsin (N.E.W.) Dragon Boat Festival returns to Oshkosh on Saturday, September 14, 2024, promising a splash of excitement and cultural celebration along the scenic Fox River. Hosted at the Leach Amphitheater, this vibrant event is co-organized by the Northeast Wisconsin Chinese Association (NEWCA) in partnership with the City of Oshkosh.

Dragon boat racing is more than a sport; it’s a blend of teamwork, community spirit, and rich cultural heritage. Experience the exhilaration as Club, Corporate, Survivor, and Community Teams compete in intense races, showcasing their synchronized paddling skills and determination.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

Dragon Boat Races: Watch as teams battle it out on the Fox River, demonstrating their strength and synchronized paddling.

Cultural Displays and Performances: Immerse yourself in pan-Asian culture with traditional and contemporary dances, music, martial arts demonstrations, and more.

The Northeast Wisconsin Dragon Boat Festival not only entertains but also serves a noble cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit cultural and educational programs through NEWCA and the Oshkosh Area School District.
