Oakfield and Eden EMS members awarded for years of service

The Oakfield and Eden EMS departments were awarded years of service awards for four retiring members Wednesday night, January 21, 2026.

The Fond du Lac County EMS Association recognized Julie Franke and Wendy Hounsell of the Oakfield EMS for 40 years of service as well as Treena Balfe for 20 years.

Also recognized was Kathy Krewald of Eden EMS for her 21 years of service.

The two departments said their combined experience of 121 years of dedicated service to the residents of Fond du Lac County will be greatly missed.
