Hildegard M. Depies
Hildegard M. Depies, age 96, of Chilton, died on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Century Ridge in Chilton. She was born January 12, 1919 in Chilton, daughter
of the late George H. & Tressa (Bersch) Gruber. She married Henry Depies on October 28, 1939 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton. The couple
farmed side by side in New Holstein until they moved and began farming in the Chilton area in 1945 until their retirement in 1979. They then moved
into the City of Chilton and treasured every moment of their well-deserved departure from the farm. Hildegard was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic
Church, formerly St. Mary Parish where she had been actively involved in the church choir, Christian Mothers, and the Altar & Mission Society.
She also enjoyed the time spent with friends through her involvement with the Chilton Senior Citizens group. In her free time, Hildegard enjoyed tending
to her flower garden, sewing, fashioning crafts and watching every Milwaukee Brewer game possible. Above all else, Hildegard had a tremendous love
of her family and appreciated each and every one of her children for who they were and who they became. With her giving spirit, she went out of her
way to do for them everything she could to make their lives fuller. Survivors include her children: Alan (Betty) Depies of St. Cloud, Dale (Mary) Depies
of Chilton, Richard (Catherine) Depies of Appleton, Linda (Michael) Bruckner of Chilton, Mark (Natalie) Depies of Fond du Lac, Don (Sue) Depies of
New Holstein, Beverly McCasky of Arizona; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; all of her brothers; her sister; and her many in-laws. Funeral service will be
at 11:30 am on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating. Burial
will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Chilton. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:00 pm
until 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 19, 2015 and on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am when family prayers will be held. A Parish
Vigil Service will take place Thursday evening at the funeral home at the close of the visitation. – See more at: http://www.wietingfuneralhome.com/obituaries/hildegard-m-depies/#sthash.mcrY8Nhv.dpuf
