Alden B. Pedersen

Alden B. Pedersen, 87, of Fond du Lac, died on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born on December 12, 1938, in Arkdale, WI, the son of Hans and Hilda (Erickson-Olson) Pedersen. On October 5, 1957, he married Judith Nichols in Friendship, WI. Alden worked for 40 years as a mill worker before his retirement. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac where he was in the men’s club and was an elder. He was also a volunteer fireman. Alden was the town chairman in the Town of Grant and also was an assessor and building inspector. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Alden’s happiest days were spending time with his family.
He is survived by four children, Julie (Dave) Gilman, Vickie Pedersen, Lisa (Tim) Pulte, and Chris (Cyrina) Pedersen; a daughter-in-law, Linda Pedersen Seibel; grandchildren, Jaque (Murphy) LaVictoire, Joe (Jamie) Gilman, Ben Roth, Jenny Roth (Jeff Mancl), Susie (Adam) Krier, Samantha Pulte, AlexSandra Sisler, Aria (Kyle) Palmer, Ian Larson, Joe Bowen, Elizabeth(Tom)Galecki, Erika and JonAlden (Kaitlyn) Pedersen; great grandchildren, Izabella, Morrison, Levi, Tirzah, Noah, Zandra, Leroy, Kassie, Eliana, Mason, Gavin, Clyde, Kavlyn, Scout, Micahjude, Zeke, Oliver, and Isaiah-Richard; sisters-in-law, Nancy and Janet Nichols; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Hilda; wife, Judith; son, Richard Alden Pedersen; sisters, Caroline (Kenny) Hendericksen, Viola (Clarence) York, Esther (Fred) Stevens, Virginia (Garland) Chaffee, Gladys (Clinton) McKinley, Myrtle (Helmer) Lecy, Verna (Frank) Williams, and Florence (Ed) Koehler; brothers, Norman (Eleanor) Pedersen and Roy (Beryl) Pedersen; and brother’s in law, Russell Nichols and Wallie Nichols.
The visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 260 Vincent Street, Fond du Lac, WI. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:30 AM at Church. A luncheon will be held after the service with burial to follow at Rienzi Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Lutheran Church of Fond du Lac and the Fond du Lac Fire Department in Alden’s name.
