Alice O. Stenz

Alice O. Stenz, 94, a resident of the Village of Pipe, passed at the Christian Home in Waupun on February 22, 2026.

She was born on April 23, 1931 in Johnsburg, WI, daughter of the late Erwin and Edna (Guelig) Roehrig.

On June 17, 1950, she married Erwin “Erv” Stenz at St. John the Baptist Church, Johnsburg.

Alice loved singing and doting on her puppies. She enjoyed spending time with family at the cottage, Erv’s Saturday night steaks and Old Fashioneds, playing sheepshead with her family and cutting the lawn on her zero-turn lawn mower.

Alice worked at Mercury Marine for many years, making a number of good friends whom she also enjoyed spending time with outside of work.

Alice was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Holyland – St. John the Baptist.

Survivors include three children, Gordon (Terry) Stenz of Waupun, Douglas Stenz of Dousman, Nancy (Mark) Barelmann of Germantown, 11 grandchildren, Levi, Jesse, Caleb (Genevieve)and Noah Stenz, Anne (Ben) Geiss, Elizabeth (Thomas) Weber and James (Christine) Evans, Christoper (Jessika) and Nicholas (Nicole) Stenz, Alyse (Mychal) Seger and Andrew Barelmann and five great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Jane (Bill) Murray, her long-time friend Patricia Tyunaitis and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband Erwin, daughter Patricia (Chris) Beane, her siblings Adeline (Ralph) Stephany, Gladys (Adolph) Abler and Lloyd (Rose) Roehrig.

Services: The family will receive relatives and friends at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, from 10:00 to 10:45 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Alice’s name to your local humane society.
