Allan L. Flouro

Allan L. Flouro, 75, of Fond du Lac, passed away in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was born January 19, 1950 to Grant and Manette (Heller) Flouro in Horicon, Wisconsin.

After high school, Allan served honorably in the United States Navy as an Air Traffic Controller during which he served two tours in Vietnam.

After honorably discharging from the Navy, he began a long career with the railroad as an engineer. He was very dedicated to his job and was one of the best engineers.

Allan married Guadalupe Fernandez in California on May 5, 1973.

Allan loved life, his work, and his family. “Grandpa” was his favorite title. He had an infectious laugh and gave the best hugs. He was always thinking of his grandchildren and made sure they knew how much he cared for them.

Allan also loved the outdoors and helping his neighbors, especially with snow blowing. He enjoyed being part of the American Legion, the Locomotive Engineer Union, Navy 75, and the VFW.

He was a strong person; mentally, physically and faithfully. He and Lupe were longtime members at Faith Lutheran in Fond du Lac. His devotion was evident in the way he took care of his family and his home.

Allan truly embraced living the American Dream and his family looks forward to continuing living his dreams. He was a faithful, loving husband, selfless father, fun loving grandpa, and steadfast son.

Allan will be dearly missed by his wife, Lupe Flouro; children Brian Flouro and Melissa Flouro; grandchildren Cameron, Casey (Rebecca), Briana (Diego), Anita, Devona, and Myra; mother Manette Flouro; brother Douglas (Diane) Flouro; nieces Desiree (Karac), Danielle, and Deidra; as well as other relatives and friends.

Allan was preceded in death by his father Grant Flouro, his in-laws Benito and Elvira Fernandez, and brother Rick Flouro.

Allan may be gone from our sight, but he is never gone from our minds.
