Angela M. Rees

Angela M. (Marjorie Ann) Rees, 90, passed away on July 24, 2018 at Hospice Home of
Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born in Menasha on August 24, 1927 to Wilbert and
Wilhelmina (Allen) Rees. In 1948, Angela graduated from St. Agnes School of Nursing
and joined the Sisters of St. Agnes.
Angela taught nursing at the school and eventually became head of pediatrics at St.
Agnes Hospital. In the 1960’s, she was transferred to Ramsey, NJ and became head of
the nursing program at Bergen Community College.
After her retirement, Angela moved to Tampa, FL, where she assisted with the
management of Catholic church in the area and volunteered teaching time at the
University of Tampa. During Angela’s time in Tampa, she had the honor of being
declared a Consecrated Virgin.
In recent years, Angela moved to Wisconsin to be closer to her family. She was very
active in community activities while living at St. Francis Terrace and St. Francis
Nursing Home.
Angela is survived by a brother, Wilbert Rees of Waukesha and a sister, Patricia
Wiechmann of Wild Rose, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and
nephews, and great grandnieces and grandnephews.
Angela was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, James Rees, Robert
Rees, Elizabeth Rees Burghardt Kehl and Richard Rees.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at
St. Francis Chapel, 33 Everett St. in Fond du Lac at 10:00 AM. A private burial is
scheduled.
