Arlene M. Krist

Arlene M. Krist, 91, of Fond du Lac went home to her Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Adelaide Place surrounded by her beloved family at sunset .  She was born on October 11, 1932 in Kenosha, the daughter of Jens and Cora Jensen. She was a graduate of Bradford High School in Kenosha. On July 2, 1955, Arlene was united in marriage to Frederick “Fred” C. Krist at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha. She always loved Kenosha but grew to love Fond du Lac after moving here for her husband’s job.  

Arlene worked at AC Nielsen, Miles Kimball, and served lunches at Pier and Theisen Schools. She loved maintaining her family home and enjoyed sewing, gardening, word search puzzles, and playing cards with her grandchildren. Arlene was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran and worked side by side with Fred keeping the church beautiful inside and outside. She volunteered at Jesus Little Lambs Day Care helping with the children especially cuddling the infants. Arlene was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and would drop everything to help when family called.

Arlene is survived by her children Brian (Kay) Krist of Sun Prairie, Diane Krist of Fond du Lac, Reid (Rachelle) Krist of Sheboygan Falls, and Julie (Paul) Beyer of Slinger, grandchildren Becky (Cameron) Heise of Charlotte, NC, Carrie Krist of Madison, Ryan (Sami) Krist of Menomonee Falls, Olivia (Steven Sizer) Beyer of Wales, Ross Krist of Waukesha, August (Sara) Beyer of Virginia Beach, and Rianna Krist of Sheboygan Falls, great grandchildren Stella Heise, Ashton Heise, and Owen Krist, brother Carl (Judy) Jensen, sisters-in-law Rachel Jensen of New York, Shirley (Don) Littleton of Franklin, Marlene (Sid) Much of Slinger and Darlene Seegert of New Berlin, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred on August 15, 2023, they celebrated 68 years in July, brother Harold Jensen, sister June (Earl) Wall and niece Carol Rinta.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 21st at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 855 Martin Ave. Fond du Lac from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. 

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Rev. Adam Zimpelmann will officiate, lunch to follow, and then entombment at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac.

Memorials are appreciated to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Alzheimer’s Research.
