Audrey R. Shell

Audrey R. Shell passed away on January 28, 2024 at Touchstone Living Center at the age of 90.

Audrey was born September 1, 1933 in Oshkosh, WI to Orin and Ruth (Woller) Voss. She graduated from L.P. Goodrich in 1951. On July 11, 1953 she married David K. Shell at Zion Lutheran Church in Van Dyne, WI. After their marriage they became members of Hope Lutheran Church.

Audrey worked for a short time at G&L until her family started to grow. Mom perfected her cooking and baking skills while raising three children. She later took on the role of Grandmother, babysitting for all of her grandchildren, a job she loved most. Mom was best known for her pumpkin bread, chocolate chip cookies and Ho-Ho cakes, a request for every Birthday party.

Audrey is survived by her daughter Cindy (Roger) Cook, sons Jeff (Linda Beyer) and Tim (Lisa); her grandchildren Andrea (Mike) Friis, Jennifer (Jon) Egen, Ashley (Rob) Steffes, David (Toni) Shell and Megan Kjell; two great-grandchildren Kiernan and Theodore. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and furry grands. She was preceded in death by her husband, David, grandson Aaron Cook, her parents, two brothers, two sisters, mother and father-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law.

Private family graveside services will be held this Spring at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
