Carol A. Groeschel
Carol A. Groeschl, age 84, of Chilton, died on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at her home in Chilton. She was born March 17, 1937 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Bruno & Minerva (Peot) Leitner.
Carol married Anthony Groeschl on June 12, 1956 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho and the couple farmed together on the family homestead until their retirement.
Her faith was the foundation of her life and was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton, formerly Holy Trinity Parish in Jericho.
Carol truly enjoyed working hand in hand with Tony and meticulously tended to her yard, making sure that her house was really a home. She relished in decorating her home for every season of Wisconsin and holiday that would arrive next, knowing that her efforts would bring joy to those she loved the most. Above all else, Carol cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren counting them all as a blessing to her life, and knowing that they were all the legacy of who she was.
Survivors include her children: Debra & Joe Hertel, Tony & Dianne Groeschl, Linda Degeneffe & her fiancé Jeff Hackl, Kurt & Connie Groeschl, Rick & Wendie Groeschl and Bryon Groeschl & Darrin Day; her grandchildren: Matthew & Jen Levknecht, Adam & Meredith Levknecht, Nicole Haverland, Joseph Hertel, Anthony Groeschl and Jamie, Zachary & Cassie Groeschl, Dr. Ross Groeschl, Amanda Buntin, Tyler & Jane Degeneffe, Edward & Lashonda Degeneffe, Jonathan & Kristin Groeschl, Nathan & Kayla Groeschl, Joshua Groeschl & Tressa, Cassandra & Casey Rentmeester, Mitchell & Colleen Groeschl, Gabbie Groeschl; 21 great grandchildren with another arriving soon; her sister: Sharon & Dave Neuber; and a sister-in-law: Valeria Buechel. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents: Bruno & Minerva Leitner; her husband: Anthony; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Anton & Veronica Groeschl; grandchildren: Alec & Ben Groeschl; and her siblings and their spouses.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 pm on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with Rev. Jon Thorson officiating.
