Carol Ann Paulus

Carol Ann Paulus, age 82, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, May 29, 2026, at St. Francis Home. She was born on February 18, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Ludwig and Alma (Thuman) Chechwala. On July 18, 1978, she married Gary Paulus in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 2007. Carol enjoyed flowers and collecting books. She loved her dogs, Annie and Peanut and we are sure she is at peace, walking them once again.

Survivors include her children, Richard (Julie) Nimkie Sr. and Dennis (Marty) Nimkie Jr.; grandson, Richard J. Nimkie Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Lua Nimkie; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Cremation has taken place.
