Carol J. Hahm

Carol J. Hahm, 78, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday March 12, 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope after an 8 year battle with cancer. Carol was born the only child of Roy and Sadie Polege Mortenson on February 20, 1936 in Wausau, WI. On September 20, 1958 she was married to Paul Hahm at Bethany Lutheran Church in Aniwa, WI.  Carol graduated from Birnamwood high school in 1954, and was employed at Employers Mutual Insurance Company in Wausau WI., where she was a data entry operator for 13 years. After moving to Fond du Lac, in 1968, she was employed at Wells MFG as a data entry operator for 18 years. Carol was a member of Immanuel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church for 46 years. She was a member of the Senior Choir for over 40 years and a member of the Elizabeth Circle. Carol was a docent at the Galloway House and Village for over 15 years, and did other volunteer work after retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Paul and her brother in law and sister in law Arthur and Jeanne Hahm, Largo, Fl.; Nieces and nephew, and many dearly beloved cousins, friends, and neighbors. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, sister in law and brother in law, Bertha and Earl Mengeling.

VISITATION: Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 12:00 PM on Saturday March 15, 2014 at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Dr. Fond du Lac, WI. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. Reverend Richard Engen will officiate.  Cremation will follow the traditional services.  Inurnment will take place at Rest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Wausau, WI at a later date.

Also all the friends, relatives, and neighbors, who brought food treats, and well wishes, pastoral visits, etc. during this difficult time. And to my husband Paul-who did such a wonderful job as my care giver and GO FOR GUY! Thank You All!”
