Charles “Chuck” E. Horien, Jr.
Charles “Chuck” E. Horien, Jr., passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025. Chuck was born to Charles E. and Helen M. Horien on March 31, 1951 in Racine, WI. He was a 1969 graduate of Washington Park High School in Racine.
In 1971, Chuck married Rebecca Mahdik while serving in the US Army. After an Honorable Discharge in 1974, Chuck worked at the Kenosha Pigwig for 10 years as a meat cutter. He then took a job at the Fond du Lac Post Office as a letter carrier until his retirement in 2013.
In 1992, Chuck married Sandra Mohr Nett.
Chuck survived by Sandy; his son, Charles E. Horien III; his daughter, Katie R. (Chris) Boge; and granddaughters, Madison (Dustin) Meyer and Willow Rose Boge. He is further survived by his stepchildren, Amber E. (Kevin) Cloyd and Karl A. (Renee) Nett; and step grandsons, Sam H. Cloyd and Max R. Cloyd; a sister, Carole (Bob) Moreland; and nieces and nephews.
Per Chuck’s wishes, a private celebration of his life is taking place.
