Cody A. Gibson

Cody A. Gibson, 38 of Fond du Lac, passed away unexpectedly in the Wisconsin Dells on January 14, 2024. He was born October 6, 1985 to Scott and Diane (Brunelli) Gibson in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Cody graduated from Fond du Lac High School and continued his education at Marian College. He grew up playing soccer and hockey with Brad and Dixon, up to the collegiate level. He enlisted in the United States Army in 2007.

Cody worked at Spies in 2014 for 6 years and later worked at Quality Truck in Oshkosh. He enjoyed working for Quality Truck, especially because of the numerous feasts they provided to their employees. They were his family.

Cody started dating the love of his life Tanya Raabe in March of 2014. Tanya’s children Kylee and Wyatt soon became his too. He later proposed in February of 2021 and they looked forward to combining their families.

Cody and Tanya loved hosting pool parties, cook outs, and going camping with family and friends. Cody loved going to the Wisconsin Dells. He also loved to gamble and enjoyed working on various housing and mechanical projects with Joe. Every Saturday, Cody would visit his grandma with doughnuts and sweets. Cody was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to play fantasy football with his friends Ryan, Corey, Derrick, and many more.

Cody loved his siblings. He shared his love of soccer with Kylee, Kyra, and Kyra’s husband Ryan. They all played in an adult soccer league together. Cody was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially to his god mother Vicki Huck. Cody adored his Uncle Scotty and would buy him various gifts of jewelry, hats, and lottery tickets.

Cody will be dearly missed by his fiancée Tanya; their children Kylee and Wyatt; his mother Diane (Joe Cwiklinski) Gibson; sisters Kylee and Kyra (Ryan) Engel; grandmothers Arlene Brunelli and Nancy Gibson; mother-in-law Sue Pavek; brothers-in-law Chuck (Courtney) Raabe and Ron (Karla) Kimball; Tanya’s aunt Patty Cotter; aunts and uncles Vicki (John) Huck, Mary (Jim) Gibson, Trisha (Terry) Holz, Jeff (Becky) Gibson, Mark (Kay) Brunelli, Scotty Brunelli; as well as many cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Cody was preceded in death by his father Scott Gibson and grandpas Donald and Eugene.

Cody’s family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 11:30 AM until 1:45 PM at Zacherl Funeral Home. A Liturgy of the Word will take place following the visitation at 2:00 PM.
